I first started with Sybase 4.8 on an SCO Unix system in 1988 How did you get into your profession? What interested you about your career? I started my career in 1985 as an IBM Mainframe developer for a Swiss insurance company. Insurance and financial institutions were among the few companies that offered any career opportunity in computer programming, as it was called back in the day. Tampa Bay International Sybase User’s Group Chapter Enhances Member Benefits

[lead] Peter Dobler, of Dobler Consulting, www.doblerconsulting.com, is spearheading the Tampa Bay International Sybase Users Group with monthly meetings to share best practices for becoming more effective Sybase DBA’s, database designers, and software engineers. ISUG User Group Meeting August 11th

Please join us on August 11th for our next meeting “The Future of PowerBuilder” which will include a PowerBuilder roadmap update, technical presentations from versions 12.5 and beyond, and a round-table focus group session on PowerBuilder strategy.
